Description

Wonder Woman had set up her own scout troop to help disadvantaged children. Here we see her engaging in a bit of banter with Superman prior to receiving the shattering news that an entire troop has been attacked and killed while on a yacht enroute to Themyscira. An interesting thing about this art which I've not seen on any other pieces in my collection is that Derec Aucoin does his prelims in reverse on the back of the board and then (I imagine) lightboxes them through to do the finished piece. I tried to scan the back of this page to illustrate this (and have posted it) but it didn't come out very well. An interesting technique however.
