Description

Tried and failed to pick up the cover to issue 10 of this arc. ( would love issue 7 too but both are locked down tight) so when Sean was offering to do 11x17 commissions for Como this year I jumped to see if he could combine the 2, and he crushed it. I love how he handled the lighting on both characters and behind them. I mocked it up and looks great with the logo. Perfect pin up to go with my other pages of Tracy and Mallory. ( mock up and pencils below. He said the composition was too tight with the pencils so he scanned it in and balanced it better, so I got both.)

Beautiful piece Matt! Wouldn't be surprised if they use it for a future trade cover! It's a treat to have Sean's actual pencils too instead just the blue lines of his digital layout. Congrats!

Thanks, Sean seemed to have fun with this one. When I was talking to him about his art pick up 1/2 of them was all about how the artist interpreted the shadows on folds and sleeves. So clearly this piece showcased that. And yea I'm looking forward to see how they bring these to to life on the show.

Hey Paul, Thanks yeah this storyline IMO is when they really found the voice for the series, and it has only gotten better since.That said this one is still my favorite. Glad you liked the choice too. Hope you can make it to Como next year!

Thank you, yeah Sean capture these 2 perfectly. I like how he did the lights behind them to pull the attention up to their faces.
