Description

Dan Adkins Marvel Super-Heroes #21 Unpublished "Starhawk" Story Page 10 Original Art (Marvel, 1969). The greatest hero who never was! Written by Rascally Roy Thomas and illustrated by Dandy Dan Adkins, this first Starhawk story was intended for publication in Marvel Super-Heroes #21 but was pulled from the line-up at the last minute due to an editorial disagreement. His only appearance in an actual Marvel comic was the last page of the previous issue as "appearing next issue". Set two centuries in the future, he appears to be more similar in design to DC's Adam Strange than the later cosmic version of Starhawk that would be a member of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Later Published in Marvel Mania #6.

This is awesome! Dan Adkins should have gotten more penciling-and-inking jobs at Marvel. Big congrats Sean!
