Description

So, as some of you may have seen, Mr. Silver Surfer, Ron Lim, was one of the first pros to do a 'Spider-Wing' piece for me back in 2001. When he chose to do it, he picked the black costume, which I loved, but since Ron does such an awesome rendition of Spider-Man, I wanted one of the classic costume too. Luckily, 7 years later I got one.

Now, as cool as the pencil piece is, it's gotta be inked. So I figure since the pencils were done by Ron, who is best known for his incredible run on Silver Surfer, let's keep the Cosmic theme running with a guy who started out on Warlock and the Infinity Watch, Mr. Bob Almond. Bob has worked on many space/cosmic themed projects, so the synergy seemed right. Bob had said on his site that he wanted to ink some more Lim, so who am I to deny him?

Make sure you go check out Bob's site and see his range. And not only is he a talented artist, but he's a class act and a great guy.

I love what Bob did with the piece, he really delivered and shows what a great inker is supposed to do. He even was cool enough to go back and add in some underarm webbing :)

I've been a fan of Ron's art since his waaaay back series "Ex-Mutants". He always does a solid job when it comes to heroes! Congrats Jerry!

A dream team on this rendition of Spidey, Jerry. Ron created a truly iconic pose, and Bob's elegant lines give it a razor-sharp aesthetic. Very, very nice.

Spider-man, Spider-man, I gotta get one by Ron and Bob, Can they Draw, yes they can! I gotta get me a Spider-man! (Think of the spider-man tune when you say that ) as I don't have any Spider-man commissions and between Ron and Bob, This looks like the team to do it! Another Awesome piece Jerry!
