DescriptionAs I understand it, Al did several different versions of a similar ink drawing of Flash Gordon and a "Space Pirate" and sold them at conventions (for sure, Phil Seuling's shows) in the late 1960's. He made each drawing "special" by adding water color to these drawings, often changing the colors of the tunic and helmet. In fact, Al touched this one up when he saw that the blue of this helmet had faded. I lent this particular piece to David Spurlock for use as the back cover of the Al Williamson Sketch Book.Social/Sharing |

So he made black and white prints then added color to them?

Cool!!! I love these con pieces Al did I have two Flash and a Space Pirate. Congrats!!
