Thats wonderful. I just finished re-reading Al's Star Wars work in the collected 3 volume hardcover of the newspaper strips. HIs art is the best of the Star Wars era IMHO

I am in awe of this. George Lucas was right, Al Williamson was just the perfect comic artist for Star Wars. Few others come close.

The last time I visited as this was on his desk. He was struggling with it. He was always such a perfectionist it would paralyze him. That’s why he finally just did inking; he could relax and enjoy work.
