Description

Milton Caniff would often do drawing demonstrations he called "Chalk Talks" and at the end he would give away the illustration to one of the participants. These are huge with this one being 40 x 60 inches in size. I don't believe Caniff started doing these until the mid 1950's. Milt was extremely loyal and generous with his fraternity Sigma Chi at Ohio State University and this piece was done when he was visiting the Fraternity in 1956. See newspaper clipping below documenting this event. It was given to the then Chapter president who kept it all these years. His family contacted me about the art and we were able to find a good home for the art here with my other Caniff treasures.
