DescriptionA strange item I picked up. 10 x 12 plexiglass piece reverse painted with a homage to Caniff's creations. The paint is not hand painted but painted on the back of the plastic to create a nice front image. It must be part of some limited edition made by Gigrafla Productions. It seems to be numbered AE so perhaps an Artist Edition. Perhaps it is a one of kind prototype that never went anywhere. A fun little piece that is not really original art but fits in with my collecting. I plan on hanging it somewhere as it contains all the expected Caniff beauties including the Dragon Lady, Burma, Summer Olsen, Delta, Cooper Calhoun, Princess Snowflake and several nice Miss Lace images. That is Caniff in the center. I don't know who is in the bottom right panel as it has too much hair and is too thin to be me but we certainly think alike.Social/Sharing |
