DescriptionThis is Dave's amazing original art for Phantom Lady in DC's Who' Who book. Dave only did three pieces for Who's Who: this one, Dolphin and Catwoman. Take a look at the printed version from the book to see the glasses that were added to the figure.Dave also used this piece-- perhaps why he didnt draw the glasses-- for one of his prints: Maiden America. So a print AND a published comic piece. Kinda cool. Social/Sharing |

WOW! A thing of beauty...this was always my favorite image outside of the Rocketeer work. Major Congratulations on landing this one!

Quite lovely and to our generation, this would be how we knew Phantom Lady was something special from the past. Stevens does pin up and art nouveau to bring beauty and glory to the character.

Nice, Dave. One of the nicest Who's Who pinups ever illustrated! Yeah, I'd say it's kinda cool.

Very cool! I assume someone else added the glasses?
Dave was such a perfectionist, I bet he just did them seperately himself. Probably so he could resuse as the Maiden print.

Dave was such a gem. Taken from us way too soon, but he left plenty of beauty in his wake like this great artwork.

This is a Baker collector's dream come true! So balanced, and as always more detail than the eyes can take in. Congrats!!!

That is to say, I think Baker gets associated so much with PL, this is the perfect Baker inspired Stevens piece!

The subtle muscularity truly makes this Phantom Lady a real force to contend with. Dave's line work is impeccable. Congrats.

Gorgeous piece, and what strikes me is how you can really see the bones of where Adam Hughes picked up some of his very early style and inspiration. One great influencing another great.
