(July 16, 1950) (King Features Syndicate) This rare and early prime example of Mac Raboy comic strip art orignally hails from the Collection of Harry 'A' Chesler and is from "only" the 2nd year of Raboy's 20 year career on the "Flash Gordon" Sunday. This beautiful Sunday example showcases Raboy's Raymond-esque technique in true flawless fashion. This was especially visible during the very early years of his tenure on "Flash Gordon". This Sunday has all of the chief components that many would consider significant in owning a Raboy "Flash Gordon" Sunday: Flash Gordon, Dale Arden, Professor Zarkov, and tons of futuristic spaceships.
