DescriptionI cannot believe I own this cover! I loved this cover ever since I saw Adam posted it on social media 4 years ago, but the time wasn't right for me to even consider picking it up then! Fast forward to this January, and I saw that Adam was going to be bringing it to OAX and displaying it in a special gallery of his work. I reached out to Adam through different folks ahead of OAX, and the answer I kept getting was that he was not interested in selling any art. I was resigned to not owning this cover, until half way through OAX, when the situation changed, and I was able to make a deal with Adam for it!!! Thank you Rob and Kasra (and Adam of course) for your helping in bring this piece home! As folks might know, Adam works HUGE on these covers, and this cover is over 20x30, and the detail on it is mind boggling. The image of Cap jumping into action, with the haunting head of the Red Skull in the background is already stunning, but the piece is full of detail, between the airplanes in the background, the detail in the barb wire, the explosions in the air... There really isn't much more that I can say about this piece except that I am so incredibly thankful to add it to my collection!!!Social/Sharing |

Congrats on being able to pick this up! It's a great Cap cover, made more memorable for featuring designs from the first Cap movie.

This is going to look great in a frame! Double mat it with the works! This cover deserves it.

Oh trust me, the framing is already in progress! Now I just need a bigger house to hang it in!

Many congrats, Alberto, on a truly stunning cover in every sense of the word! Never say never, and I am so glad that you persevered and were rewarded with a piece that should (as it presently is) rightfully be in the collection of the biggest Captain America fan as well as collector.

I have to tell you, Alberto, you have just acquired a piece that I think demonstrates THE single most impressive array of skills and techniqes I've ever seen on a single Kubert cover. With this piece, I think Kubert has taken his art to a whole other level. That he did so on a Captain America cover featuring THE most important rogue in Cap's gallery? Serendipity! Enhorabuena!

Thanks Ruben! You are so right, and it's so much more impressive in person because you get to really appreciate a lot of details that just get lost in a scan! Specially when you think how massive this piece really is... It would be incredible as an 11x17... but 20x30? I can't wait to have it on the wall!

Absolutely jaw-dropping cover featuring Captain America and the Red Skull. Gorgeous work by Adam Kubert. Love the pose of Cap flinging his iconic shield as he runs through barbed wire, explosions everywhere. The looming image of the Red Skull behind him looks properly terrifying. Great detail too, with the futuristic airplanes flying overhead and the barbed wire impeding Cap's progress. As cool as it is, I'll bet it's REALLY impressive in person! Fantastic OAX pick-up, congrats!
