Description

Lake Como Comic Art Festival is the gift that keeps on giving. Such a great time to visit and catch up with Simone and his wonderful sister Gloria this year and see so many beautiful pieces. This Hulk piece is one the master had up on display on an easel at the show and if I recall he was still tweaking the piece. Over the course of the show going over so many of the pieces he had, I knew this one was the one - the perspective, the power, Simone's use of green's always speaks to me too I just needed it!

I find out that the painting is destined for exhibition over the summer in Livorno at the Granai di Villa Mimbelli from July 12 to just after the Lucca Comics & Games Festival into November. This is the first of two pieces I was priveldged to have on exhibition this year! Never did I expect that a piece of art from my collection would end up on the walls of an exhibit in Italy - mark that off the bucket list before I even knew it was on the list.

The art is also featured in the beautifully produced catalog for the exhibition, a copy of which was gratiously included when the art shipped over to me!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best of the big square's I've seen. Still yet further call to add a 'love' button to CAF right? WOW. Just fantastic! That snarl is spot on and hey, there's that palette. :)
