DescriptionA small miracle: I actually did a trade. I did it with a fellow collector and friend Jim Reid. We met through collecting, and now he stays at my house when he is in town. We both gave up art that we loved, and only gave it up because we knew the other guy loved it more. And we both ended up with treasures. And nobody every mentioned a dollar amount.I got the Mignola FF poster. A piece I have always been jealous of. This piece is a dream come true for me. I love the Kirby cosmic-ness and crackle as seen through Mignola's prism of giant Aztec monsters/aliens. And you have no idea how big this sucker is-- poster size. I am not kidding. Thanks Jim, I love it. Go to Jim Reid's gallery to see what I gave up. Social/Sharing |

A trade of titans. (This one being slightly more titan-ish in my eyes, but that's not surprising.)

A small miracle perhaps but you seem to work out a trade every 7 years or so Dave ;o)

Incredible piece David. Now we can all be envious of this amazing art from your gallery instead of Jims. ;)

Superb FF poster art by Mike Mignola - what a great trade! I've stayed at Jim's place and seen his collection but I have yet to view your collection in person mate :)

Well, when you mentioned Jim, you knew it had to be "Creature" related! Two stellar pieces that ended up in the right hands, big congrats to both of you!

Kirby crackle by Mike! It really pops. I'd say you both made a trade that improves both teams. Congratulations.

One of my favorite Mignola pieces--I had the poster on my wall for several years as a kid; lots to look at in an image of just four characters. Huge congrats, really doesn't get any better than this...

Ooooo, that is a serious piece of cosmic crackle-laden goodness! Mignola's take on the FF (and the Aztec giants could easily be Kirby Celestials) is so distictive! Love it - and traded for the very best of reasons too! Top marks!

With so many speculators entering our hobby solely for profit, it is admirable to see two collectors make an honorable trade like this. Cheers Dave and Jim. Please enjoy your new covers.
