I wish I had more control over the scanner I used to get this image. The entire 11x17 piece is created in pen.

yes, pen. Pen lines everywhere. It's insane!

Busting onto the comic artist scene these last several months thanks to Jiggy Cruz and NextComicArt team!
A graduate of the prestigious Fine Arts Program of The University of The Philippines, JP packs a lot under his belt. He was awarded the Best Thesis recognition, he has collaborated with international brands like NEW BALANCE for their apparel, and had an illustrious 17-year career in the world of advertising working for companies like Leo Burnett and Public is Jimenez basic Manila. He was even sent to Cannes twice as a representative of the Philippines for the Young Lions International Advertising Festival! JP has done numerous posters for concerts and has had several exhibits in respected galleries.

Going by the moniker of "Gigzilla" J.P. is creating some of the most interesting , innovative and eye-popping art that I've seen in years.

This piece became available during the 2023 San Diego Comicon. I was lucky to have friends in attendance who were able to procure the piece in my absence (shout out to Ryan Quackenbush!)
It's Marvel's Man-Thing surrounded by a bright and cheery environment of forest friends. It's lively and brings a lot of cheer to the room I have it showcased at in my home.

It's beautiful! It combines the tropical jungles and swamps of the Philippines with Disneyfied cartoon creatures and the Man-Thing. It's a trip to a theme park with a burning touch of horror!
