DescriptionPicked up this color-rich illustration from the NextComicArt.com talent of J.P. Cuison at the 2025 San Diego Comicon. I saw it originally for sale during a live show for villain-related artwork and honestly should have jumped on it then.I own several pieces by JP but they're all high-detail. This piece shows how diverse his abilities go. The thick line allows for a more robust color palette and this piece just delivers that Jack Kirby-esque BOOM! in your face. Love love love it! To paraphrase Teri Hatcher in her episode of Seinfeld -- "It's real and it's spectacular." I don't understand how someone colors this deeply in art.... I need to get my 6yo a better set of crayons. :)

It's like that flaming fist is reaching out from the page to get whoever's the Super Skrull's unlucky target. Super cool!

Looks better in person than in the scan! I don't think technology has caught up to the live JP experience!

The colors are so vivid and the illustration style feels like it has roots in street culture/graffiti art yet the subject matter is comics, heroes, and villains. JP is def doing something very original among the crowd. nice piece!
