Great example of the strengths of drawings over photography. Based on the door, the steering wheel, etc, this image should not be physically possible, yet Davis fuses all the elements together into a perfect cover scene. We all know instantly exactly what is going down.... Storytelling at its finest.

Outstanding! I've been looking for a prelim for his Crypt pb covers (and still looking for that Slim Jim art). Glad to see it's in your collection.

Back when summer camps was a big deal and parents would trust their kids with strangers to take them to Camp Crystal Lake! Camp Crypt seems to be a typo, but it's as good as any place that will take the kids off their hands for a few weeks, if not permanently. The Davis macabre EC look for the Cryptkeeper combined with the cartoony kids of his commercial work means fun times are ahead.

I loved Davis's covers to these books. I used to have them all. This artwork is fantastic. Congratulations!

A beauty! Davis was such a gifted cartoonist. Even his horror work has a cartoony element to it, and his illustration and Mad work are top notch. Apparently he was lightning fast as well. Sheesh, it's not fair!
