Description

I was approached by a fellow artist to do a full size ( art size approx 12 X 18 inches) version of the 1966 city scene by Kirby he had seen in an issue of The Jack Kirby Collector. It was a real challenge which I gladly accepted, and I am quite pleased with the final product..
I recreated the pencils first on a lightbox,from a Xerox enlarged to the original size, then began to ink. It took some time to complete as I would work on it a few hours a week ( as I do many of my recreations) to keep it fresh and avoid rushing as it got closer to being finished.
