Description

Bernie Wrightson page 134 preliminary illustration for the book Frankenstein.

Prelim illustration quote: "We saw many ruined castles standing on the edge of precipices..."

Published illustration quote: "We had agreed to descend the Rhine in a boat from Strasbourg to rotterdam"

It is interesting to note the subtle creative changes that were made between
the prelim and the final published illustration.

My pleasure : ). Interesting that this was the only pencil value study he did for the book (that I know of)).
