A fun poke at the long-distance walking fad of the period.

Gaar never failed to touch a nerve involving the sheer inconvenience of living - and trigger a laugh in the process.

This is a personal favorite of mine due to myself and my wife's love of walking (Camino De Santiago - Spain in 2014, and now unfortunately "virtual" walking at home and neighborhood.

One of a group of four cartoons from 1929 to 1932.

The poor 'ol pup! Gaar sure knew how to pack some beautiful drawing into a panel.

Beautifully rendered. Love the cross-hatching on the legs and the expression on the poor pup's face.
