DescriptionOk, this was a bit of a surprise, but somehow fate. Arthur is one of my favourite artists and Miracleman is my favourite character. When I saw that Arthur had done one of the variant covers for the MM reprints, I was somewhat overly excited, but resigned myself to never owning it, assuming it would be too expensive and that someone would already have snapped it up. Arthur was due to be as the London Super Comicon this year and through good friends John Bamber and Joseph Melchior, I got to chat to him and Joyce when they arrived at the con. Arthur had a portfolio of art with him, so I started to look through and what should be in the second sleeve, but this cover. My friends decided that I was not allowed to pass this up and Mr Bamber lent me some money (I'm sure I will come to regret this).....the heavens shone down upon me ....and now I own this and am still pinching myself. Having dinner with Arthur, Joyce and Frank Cho afterwards just made the experience all the sweeter. Don't think I'll have many art days as great as that.Social/Sharing |

It's a great cover which obviously means that you won't feel the pain too much when I ask for the "favour" to be returned.... :)

Absolutely fantastic cover! I love Arthur's space backgrounds. No one does a star filled night sky quite like Arthur. Doesn't get much better than your favorite character being drawn by one of your favorite artists. Congratulations Jason! I hope you enjoy this one for a long time to come.

Very cool. And it certainly found a home with a true fan. Nice one, Jas.

Wow, I would have paid money just to go to that dinner! As a Miracleman fan (somehow, after being introduced to the character as Miracleman, the Marvelman name sounded somewhat peculiar), it is a real treat to see Arthur Adams tackle the character and bring a modern twist to a cult classic. Congratulations on a Miraculous acquisition.
