DescriptionThis page is super special for many reasons, FISRT, it is from the BRONZE AGE first run of WHAT IF? from the 70s - best run of WHAT IF ever!SECOND, it features THE MAN CALLED NOVA (in this case, the FIRST FEMALE NOVA), probably the best superhero to come out of this era! THIRD, it is drawn by the awesome WALT SIMONSON! Simonson is notorious for not selling his pages, so there are very few quality Bronze age era pages out there - period!, And FINALLY, this issue of WHAT IF #15 is considers one of the all-time, all-timers - due to the 4 stories and art by Simonson, Andru, Infantio and Perez! Love the cool treatment to the "Daily Bugle" newspaper cover! Social/Sharing |

Welp, that's the end of Kingpin. Very cool montage panel of Nova with the Bugle newspaper that has her on the front page.

Yep! That was one reason I loved "What If?" - they were always willing to kill off iconic characters, even if in a alternate universe...

Nice half splash - hey maybe one day they'll do a female Nova and then these pages will be loved by more folk - I am already there in any case!

What If the Kingpin was thrown out of a plate glass window? Gravity! What If solved. This was a great issue, with all those alt Novas. Walt's story was my favorite from this issue, too. It was the most gritty, as you'd expect from him. And I love that Daily Bugle cover. :) Sweet score. Congrats!
