DescriptionWith the Sandman TV series coming out today in Netflix, I guess it was time to bring this out in the open. One of the most iconic covers of the whole series from the magical Ramadan story that was published almost 30 years ago, this cover surprisingly stayed in the possession of Dave McKean until 2016, when his art dealer Allen Spiegel put it on public display for the first time in SDCC2016.I fortunately was able to enter the convention hall hours prior to the opening on Preview Night. My jaw dropped when I saw it hanging in Allen's booth. I immediately asked if it was still available for sale, and surprisingly, it still was! I didn't hesitate for a second, the chance to be able to own one of the most memorable covers to one of the greatest comic books ever written only happens once in a lifetime, if we're lucky. Thanks again to Allen (and Dave) for allowing me to purchase this. It goes to show that it's always worth going early to Previews Night in any of the cons, as we'll never know what gems we may find, though nowadays the opportunity for this to happen will come few and far between. An amazing milestone piece! Already established as one of the flagship titles in all of comics of the time, this image and the story it represents would be lasting and evergreen for DC publishing.

Sandman 50 is my favorite issue in the run. The cover art is gorgeous! Huge congrats!
