DescriptionA huge thank you to Michael for selling me this. A cool Kang page to celebrate Antman and Wasp coming-out this week (great movie by the way). The older I get the more I love Sal's work. He wasn't as flashy as his big brother but I am now seeing he was just as talented. Plus the Grand Master's first appearance- love this page!Social/Sharing |

This is the stuff Kirk! That 68-72 arc on Avengers with Grainger is peak Sal imho. Great page.

Not just the Grandmaster, but the first issue the Grandmaster was ever in and only the 3rd page he appears on.

Classic storyline and great Buscema. But the inks are the real show stealers here. Thick and precise....beautiful!

Jaw dropping with the heroes squeezed in between the powerful presence of two major villains! This is where Sal really asserted his artistry to bring the title to new heights transitioning Marvel from 60's to 70's with high quality art to satisfy the audience.

Love love LOVE the drama in that last panel!!! Somehow I feel this very early "Sal" was amongst his best work!
