DescriptionWhat I loved about the Moore-Bissette-Totleben run was Swamp Thing's very human quest to understand himself and his place in the world/universe. This page captures a very pivotal transition where ST lets go of the Alec Holland baggage of the past and moves forward into his own independent future with optimism. What a clever story device for Moore to use to clean the slate and set up the direction for new intellectual storylines in an all new journey with Swamp Thing. And of course, this is the pivotal moment where Swamp Thing and Abby move forward together with new found understanding and into one of the best developed character relationships in all of comics. From an artistic standpoint this page is as good of an example as one could ever hope to find. Central panel inking is breath-taking and illustrates why Totleben's inking is so intoxicating. Fantastic page, on every level. The significance in the story, and the absolutely beautiful rendering. Congrats on an amazing find.

Great seeing you this weekend, Tom. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Best Bissette/Moore ST page to surface in years. Just a knockout!

That is a thing of beauty, Mr. Coker - delicately, yet so powerfully, rendered...

Perfection, both in art and story, but then also as an example from the run. Every panel is amazing.
