Description

Sharing a RARE sight for your viewing pleasure! Something you probably will not have seen before!

This is a huge Cerebus illustration that shows all the main cast of characters, as well as a presentation of head shots of the many moods and emotions of CEREBUS the AARDVARK (same construct of heads / moods was used later as the cover of issue #20). This work comes from the period where Dave really got things rolling and the stories got very fun and sophisticated. The style places it somewhere around issues 11 to 13 (1979). Issue 13 was when I started reading and this period of Cerebus is genius to me! I was thrilled to grab this up at SDCC a few years ago (Thanks, Albert!)

This is done on huge strathmore artboard - much larger than a cover. Perhaps it was intended as a poster? Not sure if it was ever published or not as I have not been able to find its publication, nor anyone who knows. Any help in placing its publication would be appreciated. Plus, who's Liz???
