DescriptionBlack Panther #14 Cover Dated March 1979, on sale Dec 1978. I remember getting the book for a quarter about 6 months after it was originally on sale. Black Panther #14 and #15 was one of my favorite early childhood stories. The is the first cover of Bill Sienkiewicz's career! Sure glad I extended myself to obtain it when I did as I'd not be able to do it now given the triple threat of; 1) Bill Sienkiewicz's first ever Published cover! 2) The Panther now being an A-list character with the #2 all-time USA domestic box office Super-Hero movie (as of May 2019) 3) 1970's Avengers cover (in effect) The Marvel Banner, the "Still Only 35¢", and the corner box are the genuine original stats! The reason I mention is that for 10 years I displayed the cover without them. Recently I placed them on an overlay and so have uploaded a new scan. I do not have the Black Panther logo nor did the previous owners of the piece. Judging by the minor glue stains it did exist on the art for at least a short time. Speaking of this corner box it may very well be my all time favorite one of those. Not for Sale Wanted ANY interior to Black Panther #15 (1979) Social/Sharing |

Very nice! I can't believe no one has commented on this yet? Jerry did a great job on DC's Secret Origins vol#2 #3 with Shazam too. He did a beautiful issue of CApt.A I believe in 78 also. I'll keep my eyes open for u for BP pgs too. I'm looking for pgs from Marvel Preview #9 Man-God myself. Congrads & Good Luck!

To me THIS is how I remember first seeing Black Panther drawn when I was a kid. I never cared for the mid to late 70's return of Kirby style and thought almost all his Marvel work from that period was kind of lousy. This is a great BP cover! Bravo.
