the aspect to caf that i enjoy the most is seeing some of my favorite artists, artists that honestly i will probably never get the chance to contact, lend their talents to characters i enjoy. fortunately there are several creature from the black lagoon fans who post on this site. i have seen amazings creature pics from artists like art adams, mike mignola, michael bair and all the posts that make up frank cairos juggernaut of a collection etc etc the list goes on and on for sure. this is michael goldens take 11x17 commission. now if only a creature fan out there could crack mcfarlanes list, hit up finch, win the hughes lottery and resurrect kirby i would love to see their creatures as well.
commission set up to be done @ the 2008 kc planet comicon but mr golden had to cancel his appearance that year so the request was added to his take home list. i was able to pick it up the following year @ the march 2009 show. i really enjoy his efforts, the pose, him sticking to the original design, so much ink and the watery image of the creatures left side......very happy on this end.

Beautiful! Love the deep shadows, and the blurring of the body parts, really helps communicate the underwater impression! Great detail, a nice sense of motion as well! I know it took a while to get, but it was well worth it, congrats!

True Black and White piece it is so easy to totally fill all and loose the picture but here it worked great.

just watching the movie on bluray 3D a couple of days ago... this is a superb rendition by Golden, one of the best, if not the best, I've ever seen
