Over the past couple years i have had five of my favorite character designs commissioned to several artists. i have always liked the creatures design and the playful horror of the movie. really amazing for its time and still holds up well today. as far as these commissions go, the process of giving many different artists the same reference with little direction and seeing what turns up always amazes me, so much talent out there. whenever possible i spring for a color finish. i think it can add alittle something, but knowing of course that most commissions would stand alone in just ink.
