Loved the Creature as a kid, even though the movies were before my time. I had a glow in the dark figure at one point. Art Adams rockin it out with a million lines!
I've already left one comment for you on this brilliant piece...in fact, mine was the very first comment you received on it. I just looked at it again much later, thought, and would like to add something further.
I'm not, in all frankness, an Art Adams fan. I know he's hugely popular here, etc,, etc., but I particularly dislike many of his female pieces, as an art style, per se.
Having said all that, I nonetheless submit that his forte is creating intricately detailed "monster" pieces like this one. This illustration, in fact, is little short of a masterpiece, and Arthur is probably/no doubt about it/ unimpeachably THE Gill Man artist of all of them. No one can touch him when he renders this character!
