DescriptionLee Weeks' visuals are always impressive and his work on Daredevil certainly stands out as both action-packed and emotionally driven. Al Williamson inking his pencils certainly brought more to the table. The Fall of the Kingpin story line focused on Wilson Fisk's ongoing obsession over destroying Daredevil. The multi-issue story resulted in that obsession leaving Fisk a broken man at the hero's feet. I initially saw this piece of original art years ago and was struck by the visuals and narrative as a powerful reminder of the unhealthy aspects of anger and the liberation that comes with forgiveness. I approached Lee about buying it, without hesitating. The page mean't a lot to him and he stated that he wasn't ready to sell it. Over the years, the page called to me at every convention that I saw it at and, while I really appreciated all aspects of it, I eventually stopped bugging the man. :)Last week, I received a message from Lee, asking if I was still interested. I am happy to say that this artwork will be framed and displayed in my counseling office for all to see. Social/Sharing |

Well done, I'm happy that your patience paid off! Letting go of negative emotions, to find forgiveness, sounds like a perfect theme for your office.

It will sound crazy to most but I enjoyed Fall of the Kingpin more than Born Again.

I might need therapy. If I was Daredevil I would have killed the Kingpin. Letting him go, to kill and destroy numerous others lives, is almost as bad as Batman letting the Joker go. Lol.

He didn't let him go. He defeated him and entirely destroyed his empire, before sending him to jail, a broken man.
