DescriptionThis beauty is a Wildstorm Swimsuit Pinup. It looks like this was set to be the cover, but they ended up going with something else and using this as a pin up instead, since I've never seen this cover on any of the issues. I love this piece because it includes some of the hottest women in the Wildstorm universe including Fairchild, Voodoo, Fahrenheit, and Diva. Hot, hot, hot!6/1/08- I have determined that this piece was most likely published somewhere other than an actual Wildstorm Swimsuit Special (although it is still one of the best Wildstorm-character Swimsuit pinups I've ever seen in person:). I have gone to Scott Clark personally, and he does recognize it, but can't tell me where it was actually printed. He was able to tell me that he's sure it was Sal Regla that inked it though, which since it is completely unsigned, I didn't know. It's probably from around '94-'95, so probably for Wildstorm Swimsuit #1 or 2. What I do know for sure is that it was after '94 (when Gen13 debuted), it's full size 11x17 (so definitely not done as card art), it was done as a cover (although "Cover" is scribbled out at the top), and a lot time went into it (the piece is very detailed, with no white-out corrections and a very lush background. Check out that ink work!!). I know that I have seen this in color somewhere and can remember every swimsuit color and such very clearly, but I cannot remember where I saw it back then and it's making me CrAzY:) Maybe it was a promo poster, maybe in a magazine like Wizard, maybe a pinup in one of the many Wildstorm titles from the time? If anyone recognizes this awesome pinup and can tell me where it was actually printed, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks. UPDATE Feb 2016: Still haven't had much luck finding where I saw this published, so I tried coloring a copy from memory to do a Google image search and still nothing. So I have uploaded the color version I did in Copics in case that jogs someone's memory. Thanks again! UPDATE Feb 2018: A friend and amateur digital colorist did a digital version based on my marker "color guide" and I am including it in the additional images as well. About as close as I can get it to the published version I KNOW I HAVE SEEN SOMEWHERE without comparing directly. This is just off my memory of seeing the image back in the '90s. But it looks killer in full color! Social/Sharing |

Ladies, Ladies, how unfortunate that in this depressed economy none of you can afford to buy enough fabric to construct a full bathing suit! Hmm... then again....
