DescriptionIt doesn't get any better than this! I really wanted to find a page from Hulk 150 that prominently features the Hulk, and this fantastic page surpasses anything I hoped to get. One of the very best pages from one of the very best Trimpe/Severin issues- a great testament of Herb Trimpe's storytelling brilliance and what a talent he was. Thanks to Bob for making me one happy collector!!!Social/Sharing |

Great Hulk action page Bill! I love how the artists made the Hulk's head look kind of small in some of the panels to emphasize his bulk and muscles. Congrats!

I was recently reading a blog by a knowledgeable Trimpe fan who argued that Jack Abel was the inker that brought out the best in Herb's pencils while John Severin brought too much of his own, more illustrative style, to the pairing. I can't help but disagree and think Severin, while adding something of himself, especially when there was military hardware on the pages, let Trimpe be Trimpe (as he did here) while giving his art a consistent look and some much appreciated depth.

Now here's a page from a "CLASSIC' Hulk tale. I remember first reading this, re-printed, in one of those giant "Marvel Treasury Editions". There have been certain Hulk stories which I read over and over again, through the years, and this was one of them. And oh, what an incredible page from that story. Truly an amazing score, Bill. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the greatness.
