Description

A really swell, early Dick Tracy by Gould. This is from 2 weeks into the second year of Tracy. I am not usually a fan of complicated framing but there is a nice charm to how this one was framed that I wouldn't touch. An interesting piece as the final panel was used for a trading card from a 1932 Dick Tracy card set. The previous owner was kind enough to include the card (I would never have know otherwise). There is a cool Jr. Detective Club shield that is a vintage toy that was also used to decorate the frame.

Quite a charming strip and framing. As you say, I wouldn't frame anything like this, but this approach is part of the history of the hobby and significant in it's own right.
