DescriptionI very happy to be adding a great, early Prince Valiant to my collection. There is a lot about this one to like and it fits in nicely with some of the themes and features I tend to gravitate to in my choices in art. This one predates the introduction of Aleta, so an early romance for our young prince. It has some fun action with a brief battle and lots of great images of all the characters. Even things like the tree in the sixth panel are worthy of note. It is amazing that Foster was able to do this week in and week out for over 3 decades and kept up the quality. This era from 39-44 is probably my favorite and although very consistent in his style, there are subtle changes that happened over time. I couldn't be happier about this one.I won't be in physical possession of this one for a little while but when it gets here I will post some better scans of panel details. Social/Sharing |

It's poetry in motion captured in still images if that makes any sense. Congrats!

The more I look at this one, the more I find it hard to understand ho it didn't sell for much more than it did. Multiple amazing images of Prince Valiant, the scheming little minx and much more! Those trees, wow......
