Description

It's always a treat to see a great artist experience anew a character that he created. Tony "The Master" DeZuniga matches his mysterious heroine Black Orchid with DC's botanical villainess, Poison Ivy.

Of Black Orchid, Tony told me, a hint of sadness edging his voice, "That character just never seemed to catch on." Looking at this exquisite artwork, it's impossible to imagine how that happened.

Created at WonderCon 2009.

DeZuniga, one of the great unsung comic veterans. This piece is absolutely stunning.

A Common Elements Con piece...wow, what a cool idea, wonderful pairing and amazing execution. I am always amazed at the pairings you put together and this is a wonderful example of everything coming together perfectly. Bravo.
