Description

Early example of this long running popular strip featuring Maggie and Jiggs. Partially colored to help the colorist know what to colors to use. In addition to the fun gags, the clean lines and art deco backgrounds and patterns that populate McManus's art make it among the best and most important of the pioneering cartoonists.

Well preserved artifact! The colors are still intact and the main characters would only need to be colored a few times as a model sheet. The topper as a single gag story is great at this point in the history of the medium.

Fabulous Sunday! I'm guessing that the page was parially colored only after the printers made metal plates of the line art
