This is striking ! Layout is perfect and also perfect is the Fredricks' Mandrake style. I had this cover. At the time I was familiar with this series, but I'd like to find the original artworks it !

Thanks for your comment Maurizio. Nothing to do for the original of this cover,( I did this in B/W), it seems that in the early 80's the archives of F.lli Spada was destroyed to make room for a new print machine:incredible, all the italian episodes of Phantom and Mandrake was destroyed .

You're in good company. The same happened with the covers by Karel Thole for the italian Sci-Fi magazine "Urania". Since the original artworks were scanned se they could well be destroyed. That's to say: the copy is more important than the original ! And this is what we have to expect with the digital point of view...
