David Hitchcock is a British artist whose style I really like! Check out his gallery here

He has a fondness for imagining characters in Victorian garb.

So when I heard he was doing sketches on the cover of his new artbook "Obscura", I asked him to imagine a Victorian era Robin and he was amenable to the idea.

He was also very open to suggestions, I felt that this alt-Robin, had to have a sort of street urchin feel to the character, somewhere between the Artful Dodger and a Baker Street Irregular. That way he'd go unnoticed by anyone, go anywhere and be studiously ignored by anyone of a higher class, in other words everyone.

I also thought he should have his staff, and what better disguise for it than a chimney sweep brush, the finishing touch to his disguise (Or maybe he really IS a child sweep, and Bruce Wayne saved him from the life of a child sweep, which was in reality seriously horrible).

This way all he needs do is dump the bristles and it's ready for action! I really like the cap too! :)
