And yes it is a con "sketch' but more detailed than a lot of finished illustrations.

Actually, this was a prearranged drawing, so was not actually a "con sketch". I picked it up from Jeremy at the convention, but it wasn't drawn there. And it most certainly is a lovely drawing, with rich details.

I don't think we could have traded two more opposite drawings! Thanks George.

My guess is our normal trades are quite a bit different than the norm on CAF! This one a probable 1917-1921 editorial cartoon for a 2012 commission (thpugh it is documented o nthe peice as a con sketch!) is actually thinking about it not an uncommon trade between us. The last one if my aging meemory was corect was a 1920 illustration for a 1960's illustration by an aeditorial cartoonist! Which is why it is fun ot trade with you.

Love Bastian's art. Classical back to Dore and up. The line work and interpretation are excellent.

He grew up a few blcoks from where I now live and currently I think lives about 6 miles away-have yet to meet him- his art is amazing
