Description

My favorite female Marvel character by one of my All-Time Favorite artists! I've seen this piece change hands a few times in recent years, but when it was offered for a price that I couldn't refuse I had to go for it! This piece seems to date to the mid to late 1970's when George was drawing the Avengers book for the first time. It's interesting to see his early inked pieces like this and see how far his talents grew over time! This piece reminds me of something I would have asked George for at a convention if I had met him back in the 70's.

These wonderful 70/80s drawings are so much fun. And of course now they are very precious mementos. I used to have a great Beast color one that I wish I never got rid of. Funny that in over three decades, I have never seen it resurface. Anyway, a lovely drawing by a true legend.

The hair style, costume, and the pose are definitley first run Perez Avengers! The gentle approach before his more detailed era looks nice on the mose simple pin up type pieces.

Yup, this was unmistakably done during the early part of his career. It's got that mid to late 70's look and feel to it. Congrats on getting it for a not so outrageous price, Rich!
