DescriptionFinally. When I started collecting original comic art prominently featuring She-Cat, my favorite FemForce member, nearly 20 years ago, I thought to myself that if I can only have one She-Cat piece in my collection, it would be this very cover. Each and every time when I acquired She-Cat art I basically thought "This is very cool but...I really want that cover. Where could it be??" Bill Black, the original penciller, couldn't recall if he had sold the cover art or not so there's the possibility of it still being somewhere in his storage. Almost two decades later he finally unearthed it. At the bottom of one of his countless bins. When it arrived late last night, I held it thinking "Ahh, there you are. Finally." and feeling both truly relieved and surreal. Surreal that I would one day end up owning the actual cover art of what also happened to be my first FemForce comic, bought as a back issue on a whim back in 1988. Just...wow. Can't wait to get it framed! Some of you may recognize the tribute behind this cover. Yes, it's based on the original movie poster of the 1958 cult classic ATTACK OF THE 50 FT WOMAN. Believe it or not, I have yet to watch that film (or its 1993 remake starring Darryl Hannah)! That will be rectified shortly! Note that the original art has a title stat that was used in the previous issue but it got changed in a later edit prior to publication. Keywords: Fem Force Social/Sharing |

I love reading stories of fans getting artwork that has great personal meaning to them so congrats on finally obtaining this after two decades. Bill Black and AC Comics deserve kudos just for their long-running history as a publisher and doing their thing their way all these years. Artwork from them certainly can vary in quality but this is a sharp image and a great homage tribute to the sci-fi cheese film era and one of it's classic titles.

Great art, and an even greater story! Some art belongs in certain collections, and it's so cool when a page comes home to the collection that loves it... well done, Frosty!

I love a good write-up. Bill Black and AC Comics have carved their own niche in comic book history, and deserve to be celebrated. A wonderful addition to your collection!
