DescriptionThose that know me know how much of a fan of the green goliath i am especially planet hulk, which is one of my favorite story arch in the last 20 years. What greg pak and carlo pagulayan did was reinvent the hulk for me and gave him a fresh new take on the character that has stuck with me till this day. So much so that my commission focus tends to be requesting artist to do their take on planet hulk and wow i've gotten some amazing pieces from those artist.The world war hulk story line that took place after planet hulk wasn't as good but it did have some nice art to it and a perfect example of this is this amazing splash page done by john romita jr. When i saw this i was wow and something i would like to own one day but realistically never thought i would. But sometimes in the crazy hobby of ours we get a bit lucky and the art gods smile upon us. I absolutely love this image and what jrjr and klaus did here is amazing, having the hulk full on rage going after the Illuminati and laying waste to them one by one just shows you how powerful the hulk can really be. I have held this in my hands at Comic Con and know just how amazing this is in person. I purchased the other amazing splash from this issue instead. I still don't know if I made the right decision. Maybe we can trade one day, twenty years from now when we have had the proper time to enjoy them. Congratulations. I hope this is receiving proper, framed, hanging on the wall status in your house!
