One of the best of the series. So glad to track this down. I had initially talked to Nick at Fan Expo 2015 and he mentioned he was doing some Rocketeer covers. Later in the year some beautiful pages by the man himself Dave Stevens came up for sale but due to life I was busy at the time and missed the pages I wanted.

This sent me on the hunt for something iconic from the Rocketeer that was published. I had initially spoke to Nick but this cover and #1 were already spoken for. I waited on #3 and #4 but they didn't speak to me as much. Over some time, I found the prelim for #2 on ebay and bought it. Around ECCC 2016 I spoke with Nick's dealer Kwan Chang and he mentioned that the cover for #2 was still in hand and the transaction was not yet completed. After some time talking with Kwan, we finally made a deal for pick up at SDCC 2016. Unfortunately I wouldn't be in attendance, but good friend and fellow art collector Chris Nordeen was and he graciously picked it up for me! So long story short, patience paid off!

Big thanks to Nick for being patient with my inquiries, Kwan for being willing to deal and Chris for being an all around great guy and art mule!

"That son of a bitch will fly!" Congrats on getting the cover, I had thought about going after this one as well. Nick did an incredible job on all 4, though the first issue was the best of all. CONGRATS!!!!!
