Description

Jim was appearing at a convention and they were offering online orders for commissions. It did not take me more than a few seconds to jump online and order one. Jim draws my favorite Marvel character, Benjamin J. Grimm, so well that the character choice was a no-brainer!

Great Thing. You can feel Jim's love of BWS in his rendition of the character.

YESSSSS! Wow, Bill - this is filled with so many of the gorgeous touches that make Jim one of the best Thing artists. A great sense of character, and -really- fun textures applied to Ben's rocks and trench coat. But the deal-sealer for me here are Ben's eyes. It feels like there's compassion and a real humanity there (possibly a trace of sadness?); the soft center underneath the proverbial rough exterior. FANTASTIC commission by Jim! Congrats on getting on his list and choosing a character Jim obviously loves to draw!
