Published 1986
Great Darkness Saga aftermath.
Validus recognizes his twin brother and all his rage dissipates.
Saturn Girl had recognized his mental patterns in her brief attempt to communicate with him and had stopped Garth from attacking bim. And suddenly the fight is over.
Darkseid realizes that his scheme to have Validus kill his parents or they him has failed and decides to return Validus back to his parents.
This is the last page I have from this issue but it is possibly the most important one.

So Darkseid is capable of showing mercy when all is lost? Lots of beautiful images here, especially the top panel withthe looming darkness. But if I'm reading this correctly, Saturn Girl STILL hasn't connected Validus as being this new child that has suddenly appeared, right? Great set of pages, Miki, it's been a lot of fun!
