DescriptionFunny story with this one. I remember it showing up on ebay several years ago. The seller said they were a former neighbor of Marc's and started the bidding at $2000. I said to myself, "Too many Russians. Not enough X-Men featured. I like it but I want to find something better." No bids at $2000. The seller relisted and started at $1500. I still justified not bidding. The eBay auction ended with one bid in the last minute."I like it but I want to find something better." About 10 years later, this splash showed up and during the 10 years since I said these words, barely any pages came up from this series. And I was punished for passing the first time because I had to pay way more 10 years later. I guess I should feel fortunate because I have rarely gotten a second chance to buy things I passed on before. Silvestri sure draws a sexy She-Hulk. Love this series and LOVE this spread--chock full of awesome characters, and so much energy on the page. Can't imagine passing on it--the fact that it still ended up with you must have been the result of some good karma earned along the way!

Ooh so much character battle goodness! I dig it. Pieces like this make think I need to get on getting a Silvestri. Love She-Hulk here, looking like she's worthy, and Mjolnir's coming back to her :) 10 years later, it's yours. Sure, back when would've been better, but it's yours now! These chances don't come up too often. Congrats!

This DPS just oozes 90s and fills the pages with so many great characters. Glad you got a second shot, hopefully the cost didn't hurt too much. Congrats!

This does what a double page splash is supposed to do to thrillingly open up at story. Silvestri connects both sides with a huge cast of images and flow of action that cannot be contained in just one page!

THWAP! That's the sound of She-Hulk catching Vanguards ego. Jen made it look too easy. I remember this series, and this splash. I loved this issue. Heroes battling always works for me. And I love the angle Silvestri took. Great DPS. Congrats!

Phenomenal art here, and you guys did a great show on Monday night. This piece actually appears in the newest issue of BACK ISSUE (#132), which is the same issue that includes Iceman artwork from K Gearon's collection.
