DescriptionAfter years of wondering, and feeling pretty sure it MUST be Elric (but wondering if that was just my wishful thinking), I received the following e-mail on 7/23/09 ..."Hi Rob, my name is David Day. Gene was my older brother. I was about ten when he did this piece. This was done for a Fanzine Magazine. I wouldn't trust that year but would say between 1974 and 1976. It is Elric Michael Morcocks character. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach me I will do my best to answer them." It was GREAT to get some confirmation from an authority. By the way, to those who have wondered, I'm pretty sure the date on the art is 76. Social/Sharing |

It appears to have the year '03... kind of odd since I believe Gene Day died in the early '80's... Could be wrong though.

The albino looks and the sword reminds me of Elric of Melnibourne, but itīs only a guess of course. Nice drawing by a master draftsman, who died much too young.

That's not an '03, it's a copyright mark and stylized 76. So 1976.
