DescriptionDay 19. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).Today is the 26th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, and the 20th anniversary of the Revenge of the Sith. So what better to celebrate than a Dark Horse page? A time when the comics went hand-in-hand with the prequel films. From the "Emissaries to Malastare" story arc (part 4 of 6) written by Tim Truman. As Lannik terrorists and Ffib priests prepare to wipe out half of the Jedi Council, the Jedi must ask themselves: is there any hope for peace, or was this a ruse all along? The answer lies somewhere among the rocky flats and methane pools of Malastare, but so does death, and for one of the team, life will never be the same again. On this page Mace Windu masterfully tames the fierce Akk Dogs unleashed on the Jedi, compelling the kidnappers to make a hasty retreat. Two art teams worked on this issue - Tom Lyle and Robert Jones, and Jan Duursema and Walden Wong. This page was by the latter. This is the May! Social/Sharing |

I'm broke
Let me show you where Ffib hurts
I'm trying to be brave
This Walden's inked my plan
Akk nothing you can do, I've tamed
Such a page
I'm Walden
And there's nothing that Windu
This line is all out from my Jan
And just when I was getting ruse
Why Sith have to end?
I don't understand
Dogs leave peace behind
This line's for Windu
Nothing's feeling Knight
Oh I'm in trouble, help me
No one needs you more unleashed

Of all people who I would never have imagined as a Star Wars writer, Tim Truman takes the cake! So wild. Speaking of wild, what's up with that dude's ears?

Yeah, Tim Truman predominantly handled writing duties, but did the art chores on a couple of the 15 or 18 issues he scripted during the Dark Horse era.

Had to for sure leave a comment on this one, just to give props to my buddy Walden.
