Description

When I look at this page I can feel the heat and smell the dust of my grandparent's attic where I first laid eyes on this splash in my uncle's haphazard comic collection. I stared for hours, amazed that any human hand could create something so unbelievably cool. Somehow Bernie's layouts are more high fidelity than many other artists completed pages.

sometimes when i look at the cover of gi joe 24 i can smell barfunkel's when it was over on burlington many moons ago. i can hear the creaks in the wooden floor walking to the comics. childhood nostalgia is a powerful thing. thanks for posting.

Haha. So true. I flash back to Dave T arguing with my 15-year-old self about Keith Giffen's "new" style on Dr. Fate (I was a Defenders-era loyalist). Good times.

"Yep, it's definitely an awesome prelim by Bernie!" yelled the guy on the bottom of the page. Bernie's prelims are something else. You have a really awesome Swamp Thing image there, and sprinkled with some of that best seasoning of nostalgia. Big congrats!
