This is from one of the very best (albeit very short) runs where both art and story mesh beautifully.When I think of Captain America its always associated with the second world war so this ticks that box even though the story is set long after that war.

I totally agree that this story was an oasis in a desert of crappy 90s Cap stories. Isn't it nice to have a small piece of it?

Love classic Garney. Underrated, perhaps, but not in the Marvel office (see: longevity).

I admit that I've never been a huge Marvel fan, let alone a Cap fan. But Mark Waid's storytelling and Garney's art had me picking up this series every month. It's one of the few story arcs that I kept the original comics for when I cleaned out my collection some years back because it was such a stand out read. This is a fabulous piece to have in any collection. Huge congrats!
